Have you ever been
sitting there and your boss requests you create a custom dashboard for
operations in vROPS?  You go through
building metrics, views, and the custom dashboard and now it is time to share
the dashboard.  This article is on a
quick and easy way to share a dashboard you created with a group.

Sharing a dashboard with a group.

Machine generated alternative text:
3nager Home Dashboards Environment Administration Group Description Enabled URL Manage Dashboards NEW DASHBOARD Bbme ACTIONS

Dashboard>Manage Dashboards
Click on the individual under shared

Machine generated alternative text:
Group Sharing Allow dashboard access to the following groups: x Everyone

Select the group you want to share your dashboard with.
——-My example is the everyone group but if you have a group called Operations just click the drop down and select Operations

Machine generated alternative text:
Group Sharing Allow dashboard access to the following groups: x Everyone

Once done click on
the X

Machine generated alternative text:
Manage Dashboards Group Description Enabled URL NEW DASHBOARD Bbme ACTIONS

As you can see you
are now sharing with the group you selected.

Summary:
As you can see from the steps above it appears to be a simple way of doing things.  However, if like me you struggled clicking around a few minutes to figure it out or you hoped on google and found this article, it isn’t always straight forward.  I hope this article was useful to y’all.
